Hi, I’m Ruthie

I’m an artist and educator living in Los Angeles. I work in a variety of media to explore shape, color, and space and I use these elements to imitate what I see in nature. I am inspired by the world around me and it is neither symmetrical or balanced. It’s beautiful in its imbalance, perfectly imperfect. I want my work to reflect that; slightly overfilled in some areas and empty in others, developing something a little off-kilter but somehow still pleasing to the eye.
